Guided Mode


This section will cover the Guided Mode: when it’s best suited to use this mode and how to use the app in an Optical center.

Guided Mode

Guided Mode allows the Optician or Staff to take a face scan of the patient, input fitting measurements and guide the conversation about which frames will best fit and flatter their face.

This mode is best used in optical centers, optical offices and generally where an Optometrist, Opticians and staff interact with customers.

Integrate the App into the Patient Flow

The app is best implemented in 3 key phases:

  • Pre Exam
  • During Exam
  • Post Exam

How to Reach Guided Mode

On the Home screen, tap on the Settings icon in the upper right corner. Tap on “Mode” and select “Guided”. Tap “Done” to save the setting.

Pre Exam

Perform the Face Scan

  • The Optician or Staff lines up the customer for a good scan
  • The camera can be turned to “selfie mode” if the customer prefers to record themselves (tap the camera icon)

Enter Customer Information

  • Customer style preferences and prescription (optional) are added to tailor the frame recommendations
  • Additional fitting measurements (e.g. bride height & width) are inputted in the following screens to hone in on frames that fit

During the Exam

After completing the face scan and the customer moves onto their optical exam, the Staff can review their Face Insights and top recommended frames.

Staff can pre-pull frames based on the Top Recommended screen and present them to the customer when they exit the exam.

Post Exam

After completing the face scan and the customer moves onto their optical exam, the Staff can review their Face Insights and top recommended frames.
